On 15th October 2026, the P99 crew gathered at the Harold Wood Neighbourhood Centre, ideally located on the borders of London and Essex—for our Phoenix 99 early Halloween club night. It turned out to be a brilliant evening, with a fantastic turnout and plenty on the agenda as the club continues to grow and move forward. It was great to see everyone together!
We had 13 members in attendance, including a very special appearance from Oz, our Cut Tailor, who handles all our official club cuts. And what a service - he actually comes to us! It was great for the crew to finally meet him in person. Oz took a few cuts away with him to get rank patches sewn on and to prepare brand-new cuts for our incoming members.
A highlight of the night was presenting Baldrick with his official cut—a proud moment and a brilliant addition to the ranks. Congratulations! Many thanks also for giving us a repeat of such an entertaining swan story from your probation, years! (Paul did his probation with Robert Peel).
Our new club merchandise arrived and was delivered on the night, which went down really well. Unfortunately, Lee our Quartermaster and cofounder couldn't make it due to a bad foot—wishing him a speedy recovery and hoping to see him back on 'BOTH' of his feet soon!
A massive thank you as well to Billy, our VP and one of our three co-founders, who went round sorting out a few phones and getting everyone downloaded and set up on the Phoenix 99 app. Really helpful stuff!
We also discussed our upcoming trip to Belgium next year for the Locks and Bikes tour, with 10 members already confirmed and ready to roll.
A big thank you to our two guests, Marcus Hodges and Paul Pearman, for coming down. It was lovely having them with us, and hopefully, we’ll see them joining the ranks soon.
Finally, a massive thank you to Alan Butler, who oversees the running of the venue. He mentioned how pleased the locals were to see all the bikes lined up outside and warmly invited us back anytime.
Looking ahead, our next big ride-out is set for Sunday 29th October, heading to Munchies in Bradwell-on-Sea. Really looking forward to it—see you on the next one!
